“If you think it’s going to rain, it will.”
- Clint Eastwood
“Yes” eagerly replied the optimist, soaking in the wisdom, “but what if it’s already raining?” It has been raining. A lot. My earbuds finally pooped out on me after a third run in the rain. Rain is such an interesting thing to me. I don’t like to go out into it. But three times now, I have found myself pounding along on the pavement during my runs and being caught in a spontaneous monsoon. My reaction is not one of annoyance, but pure joy. A refreshing break. A thorough cleansing of my dirt and sweat. I have been forcefully pushed into surrendering to it and it feels amazing. I wonder if living with grace is like this. Let’s hope it doesn’t rain, but when it does, let’s surrender to it and allow the goodness wash over us.
Have a wonderful weekend. Spend it where it counts.
All my Love,
